Evangelistic Mission (Cantù – Italy)

We are grateful to the Lord for the evangelistic outreach held in the month of April in our town of Cantu’ (North Italy)! For the occasion we had the privilege to have with us brother Daniele Gremito founder of “Open Bridge Ministry”, as well as one of the co-workers of the IBTI Bible College in UK for the past ten years and now in transition to join Wickford Christian Centre (AoG Church) as the newly appointed church Evangelist.
During the opening session, Daniele held a brief seminar on Evangelism, underlining in the light of Scriptures the main important points for effectively bearing witness to the Gospel. We looked at how testifying about Christ is an indispensable and absolutely primary calling for every believer and for every church which can be naturally fulfilled with passion and dedication. For the occasion brother Daniele also invited some longstanding ministry friends, Anna & Gennaro Iervolino, who have joined him on several other outreaches before. Anna shared on the importance of a healthy testimony in the workplace, where with our actions we can speak lounder than our words so to leave behind us the “good aroma" of Christ.
Saturday morning, after considering the importance of unity within the "Evangelistic group" through Christ love that is the perfect bond among all believers, we gathered together for a fervent time of prayer before going to the city centre in the afternoon to preach the Gospel. On the streets we asked people to reflect on the Love of God revealed to man through his son Jesus, and then invited them to come to the evening evangelistic meeting. God has given us the joy of seeing different new people coming to church for the first time, eager to hear the message of the Gospel.
Finally, on Sunday we had the last session and worship gathering with the whole church at the end of these 3 intense days. These days were rich of remarkable blessings, because when the Church consecrates to evangelizing the lost, God equips and strengthen his children!

Siamo grati al Signore per la campagna evangelistica tenutasi all’inizio del mese di Aprile nella nostra cittadina di Cantù! Per l’occasione abbiamo avuto la gioia di avere con noi il fratello Daniele Gremito responsabile dell’organizzazione “Open Bridge Ministry”, nonché collaboratore negli ultimi dieci anni all’interno dell’Istituto Biblico (IBTI) in Inghilterra e, di recente aggiunta, uno dei ministri di una chiesa locale (AoG Assemblee di Dio in UK) in un’altra zona del Regno Unito, dove si trasferira’ a breve.
Nell’ incontro di apertura, il fratello Daniele ha tenuto un breve seminario sull’Evangelismo, sottolineando, alla luce delle Parola di Dio, i punti più importanti che il Signore ci ha tracciato per un lavoro efficace nella testimonianza del Vangelo, opera indispensabile e assolutamente primaria che ogni credente e quindi ogni chiesa è chiamata a svolgere con passione e dedizione.
Per l’occasione il fratello Daniele si è avvalso anche della stretta collaborazione dei coniugi Anna e Gennaro Iervolino, compagni di ministerio da diversi anni.
Anna ha condiviso sull’importanza di una sana testimonianza sul posto di lavoro, laddove, più delle nostre parole, devono parlare le nostre azioni affinché si veda e rimanga il “buon profumo” di Cristo.
Sabato mattina, dopo aver considerato l’importanza dell’unità all’interno del “gruppo evangelistico” attraverso l’amore di Dio che unisce i credenti, abbiamo pregato elevando al Signore fervide preghiere per la salvezza delle anime.
Nel pomeriggio siamo stati presso il centro della citta’ canturina, chiedendo ai cittadini di considerare l’amore di Dio manifestatosi all’uomo attraverso il suo Figliuolo Gesù, e invitando le persone a partecipare al culto evangelistico tenutosi in serata a conclusione della giornata. Dio ci ha dato la gioia di vedere diverse anime nuove in chiesa per l’occasione, desiderose di ascoltare il messaggio dell’evangelo. Infine domenica abbiamo celebrato il culto al Signore con la partecipazione di tutta la comunità a conclusione di 3 gironi intensi, ricchi di grandi benedizioni, poiché quando la Chiesa si dedica all’evangelizzazione dei perduti, Dio potenzia i suoi!
